Job Description:Key responsibilities Be part of the business unit management team to build high performing and efficient organisation following appropriate corporate governance standards Work closely with other departments and other Container Business brands to ensure cost and market leadership and joint achievement of the business unit and group strategic objectives Identify and secure business to meet and exceed the revenue, volume and contribution margin targets set for the team Ensure a market leading position in customer satisfaction and service delivery for assigned areas Ensure the team has detailed, updated and accurate record of market conditions Coach, mentor direct reports to build up a strong succession plan Business development and management: Identify, develop and improve commercial business processes, including systems and SOPs, for the assigned area which enable the business unit to be a market leader on service delivery and customer satisfaction. Coordinate and assist with development of non-commercial business processes to ensure seamless transition between functions. This include coordination with external stakeholders. Assist, as required, in all aspects of project implementation Sales Management and execution: Establish and maintain a structured approach to securing business, e.g. through a sales pipeline, transparent pricing policy and sales tariffs. Develop and maintain professional relations with customers and decision makers of cargo movements, both in-house and 3rd party. Accountable for assigned import targeted BCO customers. Would be the focal of large BCO and large customers as Chennai CFS. \ Segment focus for products/ verticals. Focus on 3PL and other new products which are not directly related to CFS. Marketing and market information: Regularly review the competitive scenario in the local market and identify opportunities for future growth potential Continuously review the market for new business opportunities and activities Key Success Factors: Reach or exceed the commercial business objectives Superior service delivery within commercial processes Compliance with both external regulations and internal values, standards, policies and procedures Timely identification and action of risks to avoid them turning into issues An engaged and capable team where HSSE is visibly prioritised Build good customer mix of both in-house and 3rd party Safety: Follow the highest safety standards with no compromise. Understand and promote the importance of Safety by observing and supporting all safety initiatives strictly and demonstrate commitment towards safety
